Rockwork has become very popular in the last 10 years in accenting a home. In most of the newer homes being built you will see different accent applications that really set off a home. There are two types of rock applications, natural rock and rock veneer and man made rock, commonly referred to as cultured stone. Natural rock can be the pricier of the two, but artificial man-made rock and stone is the material of choice today. This is due to the many styles and color options available and the savings in cost. Especially if you are doing a large amount of rock on your home.
At The HomeSource Design Center, we are proud to offer you trained and certified installers to install the rock of your choice. They specialize in not only exterior stone and rock application, but also in interior feature walls, fire places, etc. Stone and rock installation can really accent the look that you are trying to achieve. At the Design Center’s outside display, you will see the diverse array of colors and styles available. Please visit us where you can see, touch, and feel a rock installation. Or see how a rock waterfall feature might enhance your home.

Cedar generally comes from the rainy Pacific Northwest. This rain causes cedar to make its’ own natural preservative. Cedar is stable softwood that is not very dense. A water repellent finish and semi-transparent stains are recommended to maintain beauty and durability. A tried and true wood species has become one of the favorites in our region for many years. Coupled with railing systems of cedar pickets or deckorators it is hard to find more in a wood deck for durability and beauty.
