Outdoor Kitchens in Asheville: Cabinets, Countertops, and Everything In Between

We're happy to announce that HomeSource Design Center now carries a full line of outdoor kitchen cabinetry from Danver, Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens, and Trex Outdoor Kitchens. And because we are your one-stop shop for all things home design, we can help you create the entire space from top to bottom.

Outdoor Kitchen Cabinet Brands HomeSource Carries

All three of our outdoor kitchen brands are manufactured by Danver, which has been making stainless steel outdoor cabinetry for over 20 years. Each has its own aesthetic and price point, which gives us flexibility across different budgets and design styles.

Danver

Danver is the flagship line, and is known for design flexibility with dozens of door styles, hundreds of sizes, and a wide range of powder-coated colors and realistic wood-grain finishes. Their cabinets are stainless steel with a European frameless construction, which means maximum storage and a clean, modern look. Their residential cabinets carry a lifetime warranty on construction. Beyond cabinetry, Danver carries countertops, distributes appliances from multiple brands, and offers the finishing details that complete a kitchen: bar pulls, tab pulls, and decorative knobs from Ashley Norton Architectural Hardware in living finishes that age naturally over time. They also offer stainless steel floating shelves and kitchen carts.

Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens

Brown Jordan is a name most people associate with high-end outdoor furniture, and that reputation carries into the kitchen line. Brown Jordan brings a refined, design-forward aesthetic to the line. Like Danver, Brown Jordan also offers countertops and distributes appliances — grills, refrigerators, smokers, pizza ovens, kegerators, and more. They’re a good fit if you want an outdoor kitchen that feels like a true extension of your home rather than a utility setup.

Trex Outdoor Kitchens

Trex is already a trusted name in decking, and many Asheville homeowners have Trex on their decks right now. The outdoor kitchen line extends that brand into cabinetry with the same emphasis on weather resistance and low maintenance. If you're building or updating a Trex deck, this is a natural pairing.

Outdoor Kitchen Countertops: What Works in Western NC

Not every countertop you’d use indoors holds up well outside. The wrong choice can mean staining, cracking, or breakdown within a few years.

For outdoor applications, the materials that perform best are:

Sintered Stone: The Best Outdoor Countertop Material

This is the top recommendation for outdoor countertops right now. Sintered stone is made from a compressed mixture of glass, porcelain, and quartz — it's UV-resistant, non-porous, highly scratch-resistant, and handles temperature extremes well. It won't fade in the sun or absorb moisture through winter. It also looks great: many sintered stone options mimic marble or natural stone while outperforming them outdoors. Danver partners directly with Dekton by Cosentino for countertops, and it's easy to see why.

Granite Outdoor Countertops

One of the more familiar options that genuinely works outdoors. Granite is dense, durable, and handles heat well. It does need to be sealed and resealed periodically to stay water-resistant, but maintained properly, it's a solid long-term choice. We already work with granite through our countertop suppliers, so this is a straightforward option for clients who prefer natural stone.

Countertop Materials to Avoid Outdoors

Standard quartz — which is our most popular indoor countertop — is actually not recommended for outdoor use. Most quartz contains resins that break down with UV exposure over time, which causes discoloration and structural changes. Marble also tends to weather and stain outdoors faster than people expect. These are conversations we can walk you through so you're not making a costly mistake.

Appliances, Tile, and Flooring for Your Outdoor Kitchen

An outdoor kitchen is more than cabinets and a countertop. A few other things to think through during the design process:

Outdoor Kitchen Appliances

All three cabinet lines accommodate grills, outdoor refrigerators, sinks, side burners, pizza ovens, kegerators, and more. Danver and Brown Jordan also distribute appliances directly, which can simplify the sourcing process. We can help you plan around specific appliances you already have in mind, or talk through what makes sense for how you actually cook and entertain outside.

Outdoor Backsplash Tile and Stone Veneer

If your outdoor kitchen includes a backsplash, a bar face, or a fireplace surround nearby, that's where our tile selection comes in handy. We carry a wide range of tile and stone veneer options that are rated for outdoor and high-moisture applications. Connecting indoor and outdoor materials thoughtfully is something our designers enjoy working through.

Outdoor Kitchen Flooring Options

Porcelain tile is often the best choice for the surface beneath and around an outdoor kitchen — it handles moisture, temperature changes, and heavy foot traffic well. We can help you select something that works with both the cabinetry finish and the overall outdoor space.

Design Your Outdoor Kitchen with HomeSource in Asheville

At HomeSource, we've always helped clients think through their outdoor spaces as part of the overall home — stone veneer, tile, decking, and the finishes that connect inside to outside. Adding outdoor kitchens is a natural next step. Our designers can help you plan the layout, choose the right brand and finish, and make sure everything works with your existing outdoor space.

If you're starting a new build with HomeSource Builders, this is a great conversation to have early. And if you're remodeling an existing deck or backyard, we can spec an outdoor kitchen to fit what you already have.
