This empty-nester couple was downsizing by more than half; to 1,700 sq. ft., plus an unfinished basement and bonus room over the garage. They chose a warm, craftsman feel for their cabinets, tile and lighting. Taking the cabinets to the ceiling expanded their storage capacity and kept the kitchen from feeling chopped off at the top.
