What is Sustainable Luxury?
A lot of "eco-friendly" marketing is just a word on a label. Real sustainability in home materials comes down to three things: what the material is made of, how it was made, and what it emits into your home's air once it's installed. When you're shopping for a remodel, those are the three questions worth asking. We'll walk through each one.
Sustainable Countertop Materials for Asheville Kitchens
Quartz countertops have always been durable and low-maintenance, but a few lines take sustainability further. Caesarstone's ICON and Fusion surfaces are made with a minimum of 80% pre-consumer recycled crushed glass. That content is verified by SCS, an independent certification body, not just claimed on a brochure. Cambria has pushed even further with its Brittanicca Block design, which uses up to 99% recycled content and is manufactured in Minnesota using recycled water and renewable energy.

Low-VOC Finishes and Indoor Air Quality
VOCs, or volatile organic compounds, are chemicals that off-gas from paints, stains, adhesives, and sealants. Low-VOC finishes cut down on what gets released into your kitchen or bathroom long after the project is finished.
