Sage green Starmark shaker cabinets with gold hardware, white quartz countertops, and glazed white tile backsplash — Asheville NC kitchen remodel

This Asheville kitchen and bath remodel brings the outdoors in with sage green cabinetry, warm wood accents, and a dry bar designed for a crowd.

A Kitchen & Bath Designed Around Color and Community

These Florida homeowners wanted a Western North Carolina retreat that could flex for any occasion: an intimate dinner, a full house of family, or a quiet summer weekend. The result is a kitchen and primary bath remodel that draws its palette directly from the landscape outside.

The clients chose their cabinetry color with intention. The sage green Starmark cabinets bring the mountain outdoors in, grounding the kitchen in the earthy tones of the surrounding WNC landscape. Paired with warm wood floating shelves, a custom wood-clad range hood, and brushed gold hardware, the kitchen feels organic and considered, where nothing is forced.

White quartz countertops from Solid Surface Specialists run throughout, keeping the space crisp and bright against the deeper cabinetry. The glazed white tile backsplash adds subtle texture without competing with the color story.

Because this home serves as a gathering place for family and friends of all group sizes, seating flexibility was a priority from the start. The kitchen peninsula provides bar seating for casual meals, while a built-in bench at the dining table, positioned between the kitchen and the dry bar, handles larger gatherings. Additional seating areas elsewhere in the home extend that hospitality even further.

A Dry Bar Built for Guests

The dry bar is one of the standout features of this project. Warm wood Starmark cabinetry with glass-front uppers lit from within anchors the space, while a built-in beverage fridge and open shelving make it genuinely functional. The cabinetry shifts tone here intentionally, creating a visual separation from the kitchen while maintaining the same warm, nature-inspired palette. Grasscloth-style wallcovering adds warmth and texture, and the open bookshelf end keeps the space from feeling closed off.

A Primary Bath That Feels Like a Retreat

The primary bath continues the earthy color story. The walk-in shower is wrapped in multi-tone glazed tile with a pebble floor underfoot. A window inside the shower brings in natural light and a view of the surrounding trees, making it a genuinely restorative space.

The vanity features warm wood Starmark cabinetry, white quartz countertops, dual sinks with brushed gold fixtures, and black-framed arched mirrors. It’s a combination that feels current without being trendy.
