Mountain Modern with Heart
A three-finish kitchen, brass wall-mount faucets, and forest-view soaking tub make this custom home one of a kind.
A Custom Home Built Around How People Actually Live
This Western North Carolina new construction is the kind of project that shows what's possible when clients know exactly what they want and trust their design team to deliver it. The result is a home that feels both polished and lived-in: light and open, full of personality, and carefully considered at every turn.

A Kitchen That Makes Three Finishes Work Together
The kitchen is doing something daring: three cabinet finishes, all in the same space. White uppers, warm natural wood lowers and perimeter cabinets, and a dark navy island. On paper, that's a lot. In practice, it comes together beautifully, a credit to the Starmark and Wellborn cabinetry selected for this home.
The white upper cabinets were designed with glass doors and changed to a top-hinge design so that the clients could display specific collections inside. We wanted to keep the view clear and unobstructed in a way that standard double doors wouldn't allow.
Open floating shelves throughout add storage and display space without the weight of full upper cabinets. Cambria quartz countertops run across all surfaces, including the island, tying the three finishes together. Tile from Horizon Tile & Stone and Florida Tile carries through the backsplash and floors, and a pot filler over the range rounds out a kitchen built for people who enjoy cooking.
Primary Bath: Spa-Level, Customized
The primary bath centers on a freestanding soaking tub positioned in the corner beneath large casement windows showcasing the beautiful WNC forest. The vanity pairs warm wood cabinetry with Hanstone quartz countertops and brass wall-mount faucets.
Those faucets were installed at a very precise height. One of the owners has a routine of washing their hair in the sink, so the placement was adjusted to accommodate exactly that. It's the kind of customization that a design center conversation makes possible and what sets this home apart from anything spec-built. Warmly Yours heated flooring adds one more layer of comfort underfoot.
Personality in Every Corner
The powder bath is a showstopper: botanical wallpaper, deep forest green wainscoting, a brass-fixture pedestal sink, and a warm wood arched mirror. The great room fireplace runs floor-to-ceiling in stacked stone, flanked by built-in cabinetry with open shelving.
Every guest bedroom has wooded views and its own character. The secondary baths are color-coordinated with their spaces, each finished with white quartz and clean, modern hardware.
The home is a lot of things at once: mountain and modern, warm and sleek, personal and polished. That balance didn't happen by accident.
